Frequently asked questions

What does Dissonance EMC actually analyse?

Dissonance EMC uses closed-form analytical models (Paul/Ott PDN theory, Hertzian dipole emission estimates) to predict PCB power-delivery network impedance, anti-resonance peaks, power-plane cavity resonances, and FCC Part 15 Class B radiated emission margins — all before you build a prototype.

Is this a replacement for a full EMC test?

No. Dissonance EMC is a pre-screening tool designed to catch obvious design flaws early. Certified EMC testing with accredited lab equipment is required for regulatory compliance. Think of Dissonance EMC as a fast analytical sanity check, not a compliance certificate.

What happens to my data?

All analysis inputs are encrypted with AES-128 (Fernet) before being written to the database. Raw inputs never appear in logs or plain-text database columns. Session cookies are signed with HMAC-SHA1 and expire after 24 hours of inactivity.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes — cancel any time from your Stripe billing portal. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.

Do Project Passes expire?

Yes — a Project Pass gives you unlimited analyses over a 90-day window from the date of purchase.

What is the Starter plan?

Starter is a $99 one-time purchase giving you 5 analyses over 30 days — ideal for a single design review or to evaluate the tool before committing to a larger plan. PDF export is not included; upgrade to Project Pass or Professional for downloadable reports.

How does Consultant White Label billing work?

The first payment is $3,099 ($2,800 annual subscription + $299 one-time onboarding fee). Every subsequent annual renewal is $2,800 only. The onboarding fee is charged once and covers firm setup, white-label PDF configuration, and an onboarding call.
